Complaints.com received the following consumer message on July 14, 2002:

I will appreciate it if your company can help me contact ubid.com in order to resolve my complaints based on the principle of 'truth in advertising' which they have violated, and have refused to rectify. I bidded for a set of : Philippe Richard 17 pc Hard Anodized Cookware Set My account was debited as soon as the auction closed, but to my surprise, UPS delivered to me a set of 'invitations' cookware set instead.

 

I immediately contacted their company via email to complain about this, but one of their customer service representative named JESSICA S sent me a standard email response (copy below) stating that I will have to forfeit my shipping and handling charges which is a whooping $60.45 in order for them to rectify this error.

 

I wrote her back that my situation does not fall into the standard response so she should look at my issue again in order to resolve it but I have not heard back from ubid.com since last week. The last time I checked, my credit card still had a debit $79.45 Can you please intervene on my behalf because I do not want to lose my hard earned money to unscrupulous business people.
