I BOUGHT A NEW PONTIAC GRAND AM IN 1999. IT HAS GIVEN ME TROUBLE EVER SINCE. FROM THE FIRST 1000 MILES, I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THEY SAID THE ROTORS WERE WARPED. IT WOULD DRIVE OK FOR A FEW HUNDRED MILES BUT THE ROTORS WOULD ALWAYS MESS UP AGAIN.

THE DEALERSHIP SAID GM PUT OUT A NOTICE TO REPLACE THE WARPED ROTORS BUT FOR SOME REASON THE PROBLEM ALWAYS COMES BACK. WHEN I GO DOWN A HILL THE CAR DOES NOT WANT TO BRAKE ACCURATELY.

ALSO THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES WHEN I TURN AND MAKES A WHINING SOUND (THE POWER STEERING FLUID IS FINE) IT REALLY UPSETS ME THAT GM KNOWS ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS BUT HAS THEIR HEAD IN THE SAND. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A PONTIAC GRAND AM TO ANYONE.

I HEARD MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM BEFORE I PURCHASED MINE BUT I THOUGHT ''MINE WOULD BE OK'' BOY WAS I WRONG!
