Dear Sir/Madam:

 

The film door on the subject camera - Yashica Zoomate 115 - fractured right at the hinge and the authorized repair center will not repair the camera under the warranty. It appears to me that the hinge pin is imbedded in a very thin section of material.

 

There was no droppage or force applied to the camera. There are no impact marks on the camera. The hinge just broke unexpectedly. Looks like a bad design as the material around the hinge pin is too thin.

I understand that this camera has a bad repair record, and I am requesting that it be repaired free of charge or that I be given an equivalent camera.
