Well, I run a pretty tight ship here at Horizon Herbs--we are a pro-environmental company that is dedicated to serving people, plants and the planet (see http://www.horizonherbs.com ). It seems odd that one unstable individual who imagines he was not given our usual excellent level of service (a complaint arising probably from non-delivery of seeds, an error of the post office) can create a link for all to see. Would it be possible for you to remove this blemish that occurs when people do a search for our company (i.e. HORIZON HERBS) which otherwise gives page after page of positive information, links, etc. on how we contribute proactively to making the earth better for everybody? Please let me know.

As you can see from the following correspondence, I still have not received any confirmation of my seeds order which Horizon Herbs wrote they sent it out on June 20, 2002. I live in Israel, paid with an international credit card (Amex) but received no e-mail verifying my payment.

 

The shipment was to go to NY where my friend will bring it this month. If this company does not fulfill my request, I will have no choice but to notify my credit card company to cancel the payment for the shipment.

 

I need from them an e-mail with an invoice (not a postal letter which is not reliable in my town) which I can print and keep for my records to show to my bank.

 

I have bought many medications this way and never was there any problem complying to my request. Most companies sent these e-mailed invoices automatically, without any need for my request.

 

I beg of you to check the above company out if it is not a scam. Thanking you in advance, Alice Frankel

 

The shipping address for above order was:

Myrna Danzig New York, NY 10014 USA but that information must be on your file otherwise how could you have shipped the order only last month, June 20, 2002? I am awaiting my e-mailed invoice with abaited breath. Just count how many e-mails I sent you on this subject but you are still incapable of sending that piece of paper - is this your usual customer service? Believe me no other company on the net treated me this way.

 

The billing address was on the order and I do not want it mailed overseas, but e-mailed so that I can get it quickly and check my credit card. I will notify my bank not to pay on this card if I do not receive today the requested order invoice by E-MAIL. Alice Frankel - a VERY DISPLEASED CUSTOMER

Sorry that we are unable to give you a "printable invoice." If you would like a hard copy of your invoice, then please provide your full name and address, as well as the shipping address where the seeds were actually sent. Then we will send you the invoice by mail. Regards, Richo

If there is still something unclear, please do not hesitate to e-mail me, but I need the invoice e-mailed to me so that I can print it and keep it.

 

Your company is the first that I have to ask so many times for the invoice. I have bought medicine and computer software, and always I was e-mailed the invoice the same day. You do want to keep me as your future client and that I bring in my friends too as your happy clients. Please comply to my need for an e-mailed invoice with your letterhead.

Dear Sirs, I’m writing from Europe to express you my protest for what I have read on your site at the link www.complaints.com/july2002/complaintoftheday.july12.23.htm, regarding a supposed malfunction in Horizon Herbs’s service. A simple search on the web will return you hundreds and hundreds of links where Horizon Herbs’s and Mr. Cech’s work are highly esteemed and praised by everybody (see for instance the 100% positive and enthusiast rating given by customers of this company at the specialized Garden Watchdog), and this internationally. I’m not able to tell you if the facts related in the “complaint” you made public are correctly reported, even if the real consistency of this “complaint” appears frankly very arguable to me. But if everyone has the right to see published on the web whatever he/she likes about a company, I claim the right to mine. I’m a very satisfied client of Horizon Herbs since a quite long time, and I’ve always been struck – as many other people on an international scale – by its professionalism, competence, courtesy and human kindness, rapid feedback, and high-level service to the public. I feel therefore sorry and irritated to see these important working values, quite rare in the commercial field, offended by the publication of this unstructured “complaint”. As natural, everyone has the right to complain about what he/she considers right. But a single episode of this kind, and of such a questionable nature, doesn’t seem to me a valid and legitimate reason for you to create, years and years after the supposed episode, a negative publicity to a company who has always given – in true facts and in many forms – demonstration of professionalism, excellent service and ethics in business.
