RE: ebay Why do you have to be 18 or older to register at ebay? Kids are people to why can't they register? I am 10 and i spend most of my time at ebay so why can't I register? I would like to know why? Thank-you.

I realize this is old, but I'm posting for future reference..a minor cannot register with ebay simply for the fact bidding and winning on auction is a legal binding contract no one can enter a legal contract with a minor...so any sales with a minor would be null and void..ie not legal the Seller could and would get into a lot of trouble should your parents get into the whole mess..so it's easier to make the cut off point at age 18..at 18 you are an adult and can bid/sell to your hearts content!
