Date: Thursday, July 05, 2001 10:46 AM Dear Chrysler:

Here is my awful story: I bought a Dodge Durango in 1999 and financed it through Chrysler Financial. My payments are due on the 1st of each month. I had been mailing my check in prior to the 1st--in plenty of time to reach the office before the due date--and I noticed that my payment wasn't getting posted until almost 2 weeks after my due date. This was "appearing" that my payment was late. I would get phone calls from the Mansfield, MA office of Chrysler Financial to collect my payment. I would tell them that it had already been mailed and they would hang up. I got tired of this and submitted a form for Auto-Debit out of my checking account on the 1st of each month. I was told this was set up for 12/01/00 payment.

I left to go out of town and was gone until 01/16/01. When I returned I got the notice that my auto-payment had been set up but the account number on the sheet was incorrect. I had given them the correct account number. I immediately called them to let them know that the account number was incorrect. I also checked my bank balance and realized that they had not taken any payments. It was now appearing that I was 2 months past due. I informed them of the mistake and I was told to mail the payment in to their office. I did just that--December, January AND February's payment. I mailed that on January 18th. On January 30th, I received a VERY harassing phone call from a Chrysler Financial representative out of the Mansfield, MA office. He called me names like, "Little Jew Girl", "Low Life Scum", "Big Fat Liar", etc. I was appalled. I repeatedly asked to speak to his supervisor and he would not let me. I was tag teamed by him and several others that got on the line to enjoy the "harassment".

I would hang up and call back and get the same people. They would not let me speak to a supervisor. After having me in tears for almost 2 hours, a supervisor finally broke in on the line and stopped them IMMEDIATELY. He also told me that he heard a little of what was going on and said he would make it all better. He offered to have my "late" payments moved to the end of my loan and he would apply the payments that I had already mailed to February, March and April and that I would not owe another payment until May. I accepted that offer, he faxed it over, I signed it, and we were done. I got a call later that day making certain that I was "OK". The next day, I was called again by the LEAD OFFENDOR of the previous day. He told me that they decided that they were revoking my deal and that they were coming to get my truck and I would be arrested and carried away in shackles.

He again told me that people like me, Low Life Scum, did not deserve to drive a car. This went on for about 15 to 20 minutes. I hung up and called back and asked to speak to the Supervisor that had helped me the previous day. He picked up the line and told me that nothing had been revoked and that I was to just ignore the other guy. I got several other calls that day of someone waiting for me to answer and then hanging up. I then received a call from my "account manager" who was also in on everything and he offered to send me a "card" because he felt bad at what I had gone through. He then verified my address with me--this really scared me. I was unable to go out of my house for days following that. I have been skeptical about answering the phone. I'm just wondering how many others have been treated this way by Chrysler Financial? I'm appalled and I will not let this matter rest. I have filed a formal complaint with the MCAD (Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination) and I have also secured an attorney to investigate this case.

Chrysler Financial

I have had the rudest account manager. His name is Jeff Jackson. He harrasses me so many times a day knowing full well when my payments will be made. I work midnights, so he makes sure he calls me about 4 times a day and says he has something urgent to tell me. I call back and the representitives don't know why I was ever called. After 6yrs of paying 353.40 a month for a piece of crap kia sportage, Jeff Jackson decides that my phone was shut off(which never happened) and starts to harrass my sister in law. My brother died 4 yrs ago and was found floating in the river in the midst of jetskiing. We do not speak. She did finally call me after all this time to tell me of a rude man calling and arguing with her. So, it was raining and snowing i was walking out of the community college when Jeff Jackson decided to call for the third time(my phone was vibrating in my pocket all through class). I had about a 10 minute walk and he wanted to know when do I get paid and my checking info. I told him that my hospital was taken over by another hospital and our pay dates changed. I need to get to my car to go though my purse to get my calandar. I told him it was inconvient right now and explained walking with my bags, ect. He said "Did you say inconvient? You are inconviencing me. You took out a loan that you can't pay back. I need a payment to secure this vehicle." Ok i have been paying for 6yrs and owe less than 2,000. Of couse I was so sick of his rudeness that I started crying and yelling at him. He won't leave me alone. Even when I have payment arrangements he will call and threaten my vehicle. I have complained to him 3 different occasions to supervisors. One of them told me not to worry that I only have 4 more payments and ignore him. "it's a training issue" He even has women calling me acting all sickningly sweet. Then I get a voicemail from him. I can't take it anymore.
