Telephone Service, MCI WorldCom Wireless fradulent account opened

Complaints.com received the following e-message on July 3, 2001:

My complaint is against MCI Worldcom Wireless for allowing a person or

persons to open an account in my name while I was in Memphis, Tennessee.

I left for a family vacation to Memphis, Tennessee on 20 Jun 2001 on

Northwest Airlines flight 1598 at 220pm. I didn't return to San Diego

until 25 Jun 2001 on Continental Airlines flight 1502.

I am mentally challenged so my mom has power of attorney for me. She called MCI

WorldCom Wireless and told them that there is no way I could have opened

this account because I wasn't even in California. Still these people are

using these phones in my name, and I am not going to pay for this. The

account number in question is 013-05298674, the invoice number is

066976. The mobile numbers are multiple.

The numbers in effect are:

(619) 417-9560 / (619) 417-9720/

(619)417-9448. This is really wrong, and I believe the representatives

for MCI WorldCom Wireless are involved, otherwise they would have shut

the phones off when my mom ordered them to. Thank you
