RE: NetFlix.com Customer Service What do you mean you can't issue a full refund for an account set up fee. Your internet ad said free for 2 weeks in big letters but now you are talking about a set up fee. Upon noticing that I signed up for a rental service instead of a purchase service- I immediately (within 1 minute of signing up) went to the cancel the account online as directed. Once at the cancellation page I was instructed to call to cancel. I have no interest in calling you to be talked out of canceling this non-account - online means online. If a bill appears under my account - I will have my credit card company withhold payment. I am contacting my attorney to look into your business practices. I am contacting Yahoo and notify them of your company's deceptive practices. Yes I made a mistake but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for a service I never used and never wanted in the first place. As a manager of a large data center in Dallas I will spreading the word about your company's practices. Again I repeat I will not be calling you. You have my online request to cancel this bogus free subscription. Either cancel it and do not attempt to charge me or it will be the most expensive subscription you will ever have ever attempted to collect. Jack E. We cannot issue a full refund for the account as there is an account set up fee. If you would still like me to cancel your account, let me know. Otherwise, feel free to rent as many DVDs as you like. To rent a movie, browse around NetFlix.com and click "Rent". This title will then be added to your Rental Queue. Titles will automatically ship from your rental Queue when available. Your Rental Queue consists of two sections. The first section, "Movies You Have Out" lists the DVDs that you currently have at home (or are in the mail to you). The second section "Movies in Your Rental Queue" is the list of DVDs that you have indicated you want shipped to you sometime in the future. To change the order of the titles in your Queue, change the numbers in the left column, and click "Update Your Queue" located at the bottom of the page. To remove a movie from your Rental Queue, check the "Remove" box to the right of the movie, and click "Update Your Queue." Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns. Thanks, Jeff NetFlix.com Customer Service ------------------------------ How good was our answer? Original Message Follows: ------------------------- I came to this site and thought it was a purchase club not a rental club (my fault). Since I have no interest in renting I went to immediately cancel the account and low and behold you want me to call someone. I have no interest in talking with any one. The reason for online is so I don't have to use a phone. If my account is not canceled and I receive a billing on this I will pursue legal action. Cancel this account immediately. .
