RE: AMX Membership Rewards On June 3, 2001 I ordered a Jeep Comanche Special Edition, RY114 bicycle that was listed in the Membership Rewards catalog. When I placed the order I was told it would take approximately 15 business days from the following Wednesday, June 6th. I spoke with Raphael on June 27th or 28th to find out why it had not been delivered. He told me that they would trace it but it would take 3 to 5 business days. I gave him my telephone number and he said that someone would give me a call. I never received that call. I was concerned that it might be delivered while we were out of town so I spoke with another customer service representative the first week of July. She then told me that it takes 6 to 8 weeks and would probably not be delivered until the 3rd or 4th week of July. On July 16 I checked my voice mail messages and someone called from the Membership Rewards department saying that my points had been returned to the account. No further explanation. I immediately called and spoke with another rep who said she had no information except that Federal Express had returned it. She gave me a tracking number and told me to call FedEx. I called and found out that they delivered it to someone elses home and they refused it. They delivered the bike to Long Island, NY on June 19, 2001!!! I was so upset, not because they delivered it to the wrong address, I understand that mistakes happen. I am upset because AMX wasted my time in having to make phone calls, being placed on hold, and given erroneous information. I talked with Samantha Sturgess, #70077 on July 16th and reordered the bike. That process took about 25 minutes because I asked to speak with a supervisor. Since I had to wait so long and had been inconvenienced, I requested that she expedite the delivery. She told me that the manufacturer will not under any circumstances deliver it any earlier!
