HI my name is Margie. In 1999 I went to House of Brides in oaklawn illinois. They royally screwed up my bridesmaids dresses and had no response. To top it off they screwed up my dress which I had gotten one night prior to my wedding day. My dress was still wet from them spot cleaning it becasue they were to cheap to get it done right!

@ years later and over 10 letters later to everyone possible I have not even heard a response.

The manager of oaklawn illinois is awful!!!!! She has no idea how to be professional and or decent!

So anyone wanting to shop for bridal dresses do not go to HOUSE OF BRIDES IN OAKLAWN!

Sande is her name and she is unorganized.

I am very unhappy and I feel very angry that a decent apology wasnt even made.

House of Brides is a House of Horrors!!! I ordered my bridesmaids dresses in one color; two weeks later they informed me that the dress I wanted did not come in the color that I requested.

They were callous in their responses to my concerns. They were short tempered, and they tried to rush me in choosing the right gown. But lets not forget, it was their error in the first place that caused me to change dresses.

Additionally, I overheard one of the employees referring to Asian Americans as "Chinks."

I would never recommend anyone go to House of Brides for any type of bridal services. I am just glad I did not order my wedding gown from them!!!
