The site offers a rebate of two months long distance charges (up to a total of $25.00) if one changes to a long distance carrier through their site. In January 2001, I changed to Sonix4u, a long distance carrier offered through their site. On March 13, 2001 I faxed copies of my first two months phone bills to GetConnected.com to obtain my rebate. I was advised by email that it would take 8 weeks to process my rebate. In May I inquired about my rebate status.

They responded that they were behind schedule in processing. In July they responded that they were working on it. I have used the service for six months, and waited for the promised rebate for four months and received nothing but excuses. I caution all consumers not to believe the company's offers of rebates. I have not seen mine yet.
