Computer Hardware, Gateway received different computer than what ordered

Complaints.com received the following e-message on July 9, 2001:

I just bought a Gateway computer less than a month ago from the 1 800 gateway

line. I ordered one computer, but when I recieved it, it was a different

model than I was told I was buying. I feel like I was bate and switched! The

programming is not even complete on my computer, but they expect me to call

their tech. support and program it myself.

The saleslady lied about the Works

CD's that came with it as well, because it was suppose to be already

programed in the computer but instead I have to change disks every section of

it I go into. I have tried to resolve this with them but they dont care. The

best responce I got from them was that it was a MISUNDERSTANDING! DONT BUY

GATEWAY! They are the worst company I ever delt with!
