Home Depot, Norwalk, CT - price for Mills Pride Kitchen cabinet higher at this store than the Home Depot, New Rochelle, NY store

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on January 26, 2003:

We are in the process of buying/self-installing Mills Pride Kitchen cabinets. Went to our Home Depot in New Rochelle, NY and purchased 30x30 wall cabinet.

Three days later went to Home Depot in Norwalk, CT and purchased the exact same wall cabinet, same sku number etc. and it was cheaper!! Home Depots do not charge the same price for the exact same products.

This is certainly unfair. We will NOT do business with Home Depot in NY. The overcharge was not a few cents, but several dollars! How unfair is it for Home Depot NOT to charge the same price for identical products in all stores. What a rip-off.

I am contacting the Better Business Bureau about this practice. Do you think Home Depot, New Rochelle will beat the price plus 10% as advertised - most definitely NOT! I had no idea this was there practice as I have been shopping at both stores for a while and quite frankly did not notice the difference.

Unfortunately, Mills Pride Cabinets are (I think) exclusive to Home Depot, you cannot buy them on line from the manufacturer. Home Depot really needs to get its act together. I am really dissatisfied! Joan M.
