Voicestream Wireless - overchanged for 12 months, unable to fix problem with customer service Every month for the past year I have been overcharged on my bill for my voicestream service. Month after month I have called the customer service line and argued over the charges.
Repeatedly I was assured that the problems would be corrected and not happen again, yet over and over the same thing happened. On December 7th, 2001 I finally called and told them I wanted to cancel my service.
I explained to the representative that I wanted to cut off service as soon as possible and I wanted to pay for the phone service up until that day and I never wanted to get another bill or here anything from voicestream again. She gave me an amount of $44.46 which I paid right then with my credit card. I never expected to get another bill. And yet...January 7, 2002 I got a bill for $22.24. I called the customer service department one more time and was told that the operator I spoke with on December 7th didn't know what she was talking about and shouldn't have given me that total (which I paid).
I spent 40 minutes on the phone with the customer service department (if you add up all of the time I spent talking to or being on hold for customer service it would probably be more than I ever used the phone) and ended up paying $11.12 to get rid of them forever. I just hope that someone reads this compliant along with the countless others and thinks twice before getting a phone from them.
