Dexcool - trouble in use with 1996 Jimmy - sludge formed

Regarding Dexcool and my 1996 Jimmy; At 50,000 miles I had to change the dexcool in my SUV because of rust in the system. Now at 75,000 miles the intake manifold gasket blew out by the water port outlet and was plugged solid with sludge.

A friend of mine has a 1997 Jimmy with 25,000 miles and has had to flush the entire system due to sludge and rust.

Evidently dexcool is a major problem in these vehicles. A GMC mechanic told me the sludge gets so thick it is impossible to remove it all from the system. After spending $800.00 on repairs due to dexcool GMC refuses to acknowledge the problem with this coolant.

General Motors Corporation should wake up and stop screwing the public. We would like to see a class action suit against General Motors to address these problems.
