Complaints.com received the following e-message on January 23, 2002:

i sent my defective RIO 800 mp3 player to Sonic Blue (San Jose, CA) for replacement on 12/12/01. it was received by them on 12/17/01, and a replacement was to be sent to me immediately.

 

since then i have not received the replacement unit, nor have i had any response to numerous emails to their customer service department and the representative with whom i had contact in december.

 

their voice-mail system is very complicated, with uncountable options which must be selected by the caller.

 

ultimately there is no human contact, and a message that they are unable to take any calls. until i receive my new player i will consider my defective unit stolen by this company.
