91 Ford Explorer repair at Merlin's
I took my 91 Ford Explorer in to Merlin's to have the brakes checked..they told me it needed new brake drums..they replaced the brake drums..
they returned the vehicle to me, which I drove to my home....upon inspecting the rear wheels, I found one with lug nuts not being tightened at all..one had fallen off on the way home..the front wheels were remounted improperly [ 4 wheeldrive on explorer has to fit into slots] and vibrated while moving....
I took it back and Merlins made the proper adjustments...However the brakes still did not work properly..
I took it back to Merlins, I was told the brakes were working properly and sent on my way..I took the Explorer to another shop where they got the brakes working properly..
The mechanic informed me the vehicle was unsafe to drive when it left Merlins..I was also informed that Merlins installed the wrong brake drums to begin with...
Thanks, Jerry Dye
