Nissan Altima 2000 Repair - car won't start, electrical problems
My friend owns a Nissan Altima 2000. On Sunday January 13, 2000, while I was in the car aswell, the car did not want to start. We tried to jump start the car with no success until finally the car started then the car just cut off again (with no warning-a clean off.
Now the same situation occur a few days ago. the Battery was good, I believe that the ignition was ok. The only conclusion is that there is a slight short somewhere. The motor shakes abnormaly sometimes when it is idling.
When my friend brought the car in for repair to Nemet Motors in Jamaica, Queens. The mechanics diagnosis was that someone mixed up the fuses in the fuse box (I did not buy it). It just does not make sense. Now, they claim that because the error was consumer related that the cars warranty does not cover the towing & repair. Who can I go to for help.
Please let me know. She is willing to pay, but I think that they are ripping her off. Please help! Thank You
