First premier bank credit card - excessive fees
I'm sending this to you in the hope that no one will be suckered into applying for credit with First Premier Bank, as I ALMOST was when I received the offer via an e-mail--until I read about the fees that they charge. Here's the rundown:
$29 account set-up fee (one-time) $95 program fee (one-time) $48 annual fee $ 6 Monthly participation fee (that's right, it comes to $72 a year)
$20 Additional card fee (billed annually) $25 charged for first increase, IF approved Total just for one person to set up: $178 Total with co-applicant: $198
These fees will, of course, be deducted from your credit line once you're approved-if you're approved. The minimum credit line? $250, but after the fees-and assuming only one person on the application-$72 left to spend. Ooooooh--makes you feel REAL good, doesn't it. Mrs. B.
