Art Adams Appliance Repair, 24659 Halsted, Farmington Hills, MI - upset about dryer repair charges

Our dryer recently stopped producing hot air. I contacted several companies for the repair. Most stated that there would be a service fee for the in-home visit. Art Adams Appliance Repair, 24659 Halsted, Farmington Hills, MI 48335 (800) 791-4144 stated that their fee would be applied to the repair, should I chose to have them repair the appliance. (Their fee was higher than other at $59 plus time, but since it would be applied to the repair, we went with them). The repair was schedule for Saturday December 28 between 10am and 2pm (at a time when I would be home). On Friday around 3:00pm (a work day for me) they contacted my wife stating that they were in the area and could be here around 4:00pm. Since we needed the dryer repaired, this seemed to be a good thing. My wife contacted me before 4:00pm asking what she should do. We agreed that if the repair cost more than $200 we would just purchase a new dryer. The technician arrived around 4:00pm, gave my wife an estimate of $69 for parts, $159 for labor and $4.14 for tax. A total of $239 and my wife agreed and signed for the work to be done. I got home at 4:50pm (approx 50 minutes later), expecting to talk to the technician, but the repair had already been completed and the technician had gone. The technician took less than
