Complaints.com received the following consumer message on February 25, 2003:

This company has the worst service ever in my experience. My account was sold from providian to emerge mastercard. from the very begining I had a problem, simply becuase it is imposible to get someone on the phone!! they have no customer service skills and a simple question such as my balance takes a customer rep 20 minutes to figure out!!..
The have no online service and if you try e-mail might as well sit and die becuase no-one will ever get back to you.
To top it all of I get my statement and my annual rate when from 18.99% (Which is bad as it is!) to 29.97%. There was no notification, no written notice nothing to inform me of this change, of for that matter the option of accepting this change.
