We finally had the time to try out our wafflemaker from Target that we had registered for in our Target "Club Wed" registry. We didn't even use it because we discovered that it was the wrong one. I took the wafflemaker AND the registry receipt back to a local store, Riverside Road in Sacramento, California. Because it was more than 90 days beyond the purchase, and my registry has been deleted out of their system, my only choice was to get a "department credit," not a store credit. I would only be allowed to get a new item from the kitchen appliance department. I didn't agree with this proposal. As I was asking the manager about the policy and trying to get store credit, the manager, KATHY, became rude and condescending with me. When she said to me, "Are you getting what I am saying to you?" I responded that I did not have to be spoken to that way, gathered my wafflemaker and receipt, and left the Target store. I looked all over the Target web site for a place to call or write complaints - can't find anything. I have had it with Target. I would have been quite happy with store credit that I would have used right away on a baby shower gift - another registry. No more. Email User Jessica T. Thoma, Esq.
