RE: Ticketmaster - www.ticketmaster.com - ordered online five months in advance - Rolling Stones tickets for Ford Field Detroit Oct. 12, 2002 - didn't receive tickets via mail - forced to pick up tickets at will-call the day of the concert

I secured floor seats via the Ticketmaster web site the first day that they went on sale five or six

months before the concert date. They were a gift for my wife's birthday. I ordered them to be sent via

regular mail. As time passed I assumed that my wife had received the tickets in the mail and when I looked

for them a few weeks before the concert I realized that we didn't have them.

When i called Ticketmaster the customer service rep assured me that they would get to me in time. I then called 3 days prior to the concert to see what the status was - the rep explained that there had been a problem and the tickets will be sent by UPS - if the tickets didn't arrive by the day before call back. When I arrived home from work the night before I immediately called Ticketmaster because no tickets had arrived. They were closed as of 6:00pm! I then had to worry about securing the seats somehow the day of the concert. I called at 9am when their offices opened and the tickets would now have to be picked up at will-call. I thought that this was an inconvenience but at least we would see the concert. Well after eating dinner and arriving at Ford Field an hour before the concert, there were lines of people

waiting to pick up tickets and we were stuck there for a little over an hour before getting into the stadium. I was extremely disappointed that I couldn't be relaxed the night before and the day of the concert as I had to worry about getting the tickets that I already paid for several months earlier and paid a hefty service charge for! We also had planned to arrive early enough in order to check out the new stadium but we spent that time in line at will call. I will never order tickets through Ticketmaster again!
