Touchtel ( Bhopal ) - not responding to the faulty telephone bill complaints

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on February 25, 2003:

RE: Touchtel ( Bhopal ) - not responding to the faulty telephone bill complaints To The Commercial Officer / Marketing Manager : Touchtel, Bharti Telenet Ltd., 1, Malviya Nagar, B H O P A L ( M P ) FAX : 5223223 Subject : ( 1 ) Discrepancies in the telephone bill dtd 9.2.03. ( 2 ) Request for the Telephone Directory. ( 3 ) Any additional incentive(s) for new telephone connection in the same area. Reference : Tel no 5226196 ; customer I D 423565 Sir, ( 1 ) In my 1st telephone bill of Touchtel, I noticed the following discrepancies.- ( i ) Inspite of providing own telephone instrument, a rebate ( ? Rs 250/= ) has not been deducted from the Installation charges ( 800/= ). ( ii ) Instead of waiving off of the rentals ( 250/= pm ) for 3 complete months ( viz. Jan, Feb & Mar’03 ) it appears that the full rental rebate has been given for the months Jan & Feb’03 only. Please waive off the rental for Mar’03 also as was assured. ( iii ) The charging ( 50/= ) for dynamic dynamic charging is also surprising !

( 2 ) Neither any brochure / manual, nor the telephone directory has been provided till now. This causes problems in availing various services you provide, besides an unusual situation of having a new connection without telephone directory. ( 3 ) I had asked the area dealer for the 2nd tel connection also in the same area & enquired about any incentives if available. Still waiting for the information. Thanks.
