Suburban Nissan, Troy, MI - $ 1,600 paid for 60,000 mile service - within a week engine light came back on - car shaking while starting to accelerate

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on February 25, 2003:

RE: Suburban Nissan, Troy, MI - $ 1,600 paid for 60,000 mile service - within a week engine light came back on - car shaking while starting to accelerate I have this to complain about "suburban nissan" dealer in Troy, Michigan. I went to Midas dealer as my "Service engine light" came up. I did my oil change with them, and they said the light is on because of something that may require service.. so, I scheduled my 60,000 miles service through "suburban nissan" dealer for the first time within 2 days even though my odometer was reading 56,000 miles and I told about the "service engine light".

they billed me $1,200 for all the service & labor.. Within a week my "Service Engine Soon" light again came up, and my car was shaking while starting to accelerate. I called and scheduled an appointment next morning..

The person whose initials are "RP" said it will cost $85 dollars for "computer diagnosis". I said why, it was done only a week back.. He said I did not tell about "service engine light" last time and the mechanic also

didn't note it. What should I do if he didn't note it down..

I went for the 60,000 miles service only because there was "service engine light", how do I know if they make of note of it or not. This is the most unpleasent experience I had, I never had this type of service with my any of the previous nissan service dealers...
