I ordered a "built to specification" computer from HP. I received the computer within 2 weeks. I set the computer up, but there was no sound. After contacting HP, I found out that the amplifier card had not been installed, when built. I was told that I could return the computer to be fixed (which would be another 3 weeks) or they would send me a new pair of powered speakers.

I chose to accept the new set of speakers. That was 6 weeks ago. I have spoken with HP several times (all at my expense of long distance phone calls). One time I am told that they have been shipped, but they never show up.

When I call them back they say there is a problem at the warehouse and they will be shipped soon. Several ship labels have been printed for Fed Ex, but Fed Ex tells me that there has never been an order to pick anything up. So I have this new computer, but I have no sound. I have received terrible service from HP on this matter. They are always polite, but never have a solution, other than you have to wait.
