RE: Expedia.com - during booking airfare, was mistakenly informed that package included "special vacation airfaire" - so booked cancellation insurance in case had to cancel - turned out the airfare was "published airfare" so cancellation insurance was useless - then not allowed to cancel insurance I mistakedly added cancellation insurance to my package because during the booking process I was informed that the packeage included "special vacation airfare" so the cancellation insurance would cover all the cost if I had to cancel.

After I finalized the purchase, my printout said that the package included "published airfare" which meant the cancellation insurance was useless.

I tried immediately to cancel the insurance and Expedia refused to do so. I understand why they would refuse if I tried to cancel it a week before my trip but I was booking for April and contacted them immediately.
