RE: AOL - trouble with account cancellation I noticed several have had a problem with disconnecting from aol. I e-mailed and received a message telling me to fax some information. I did that and when I noticed I was still on line with aol, I e-mailed them again. They stated I did not send all the needed information.
That was not true, they stated they would send a postcard for me to fill out 2 weeks ago and I haven"t received it yet.
I will never use aol again, if I can ever get rid of them. I was only going to temporarily discontinue service since I am away from home and my computer but now I think I will discourage anyone I know from signing up. I know two others who had a hard time disconnecting from aol.
It's strange it takes so little to sign up and then we need to supply information they never had in the first place to sign off.
