RE: General Hearing Inst., Inc. - simply soft model - hearing aid stopped working - General Hearing offered to fix it for $ 90
This complaint is regarding two inferior hearing aids which I purchased from: G. Ben Turpin 9500 So. Napone Valley Rd. Decatur, TN 3732 Phone: 888 605 4327 web site: www.hearing-aid-site.com The hearing aids were manufactured by: General Hearing Inst., Inc. P.O. Box 23748 New Orleans, LA 70183-0748 Phone: 504 733 3767 The hearing aids never did fit quite right although the first one seemed to work fine for about a month even though it was a little uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. They were called the "Simply Soft" model. The sound on one was always bad and the other one twice stopped working properly.
I returned them to the manufacturer twice and they failed to repair the problems. I had them for about only seven months and only used them a few hours, now and then, while watching television. When one hearing aid stopped working altogether and they offered to fix it for $90. I told them to keep it. Sincerely, William C. Smith P.O.
