I recently purchased a $380 Lasco shower from Home Depot in Meridian, Idaho...it came in 3 pieces. First one places the shower pan in place and go under the house to hook up the drain...at that time it was discovered the 3" hole in the shower pan was not shaped right resulting in extra work under the house to get it ROUND for the plumbing... next one has to install the two side walls...they did not fit right....poor quality! We got them in with great difficulty because of DEFECTS! We called Home Depot and told them the Lasco shower we purchased was defective and wanted our money back...that's where the BIG trouble with Home Depot started. They HAD to send some so called STORE exports out to our home to look at it...more delay's! They agreed it was BAD...one of the Home Depot folk's stated he would NEVER install another Lasco product! Well I thought with that comment we would get your money back. We called the store manager and got the run around again! He stated it was Lasco's problem...I stated we purchased it THROUGH your store and you guarantee satisfaction...tried to get THAT IN WRITING...I called their main office in Atlanta and even they could not tell me what their Guarantee is. Finally after to much delay and research called Lasco the one that made the shower. Got the run around there also...finally was able to reach their main office..their policy is not to REFUND any money but to replace the shower...I told them that was NOT possible as it was already installed... they finally agreed to send a replacement shower to Home Depot and Home Depot would refund the money when they got the shower from Lasco...well that took 4 weeks.

 

Finally got OUR money back. Bottom line is Home Depot on larger user installed items ...you can FORGET their satisfaction policy even though it was a DEFECT from Lasco. Lee Staudacher
