Equate Pregnancy test - received false positive test results

Complaints.com received the following consumer follow-up message on February 22, 2003:

RE: Lifecare Medical - Equate Home pregnancy test

Hi. I have recently filed a complaint about the Equate home pregnancy test. In speaking with the company they assured me they would send me 2 free samples. I received them in the mail today. This evening I took one, and it turned up positive again.

However, this time, there is NO chance I am pregnant and I am very disappointed that this test is out there available to women who need and want to know the truth, instead they are mislead.

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on February 16, 2003:

RE: Equate Pregnancy test - received false positive test results Hi!! I took 2 Equate Pregnancy tests on Feb. 10, 2003 and both came back positive within the time allowed. Then for safe measures, I took a name brand test and blood test. Both came back negative. I called equate and the woman was very rude and said that they were human and entitled to make mistakes.

I just took an equate home pregnancy test also....mine came back with absolutely nothing. No markings at all! I ran the strip under warm water just to see if any reaction was possible and the test turned negative. Good to know something is not pregnant! I'm very disappointed as I USED to buy equate brand everything!
