RE: Qwest - poor line quality on phone line newly installed in apartment - can barely hear while talking on phone
I just had service turned on (2/11) to an apartment I was just moving into. When the phone service was turned on, all I could hear was a radio station. I could barely hear the person that I was talking to. (the person I am talking to cannot hear the radio station) I called repair (2/11), and they said to buy a filter. I tried calling repair (2/12 6:43 am) [Spoke to Pam] from my work phone... they said the line tested fine. I told them that the phone was unusable. They said they could send someone out, but if the problem was inside the apartment, I would be charged $85.00. I told them no, they just charged me $48 to get the service, and it should work at least one day. They said there was nothing else they could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor.
After 5 minutes on hold, I was told a supervisor was not available yet, as it was before 7am where they where. I was told a supervisor would call me back, and I left my work number. A day and a half later, no call from the supervisor, and I still have an unusable phone.
