Pontiac 99 GrandAm GT1 Intakes Leaks by 90,000 miles
I have a 99 Pontiac GrandAm GT1 that cost 22,500 with Ram Air and the Intake Manifold Gasket is leaking a Gallon of Fluid in 45 highway miles. It has 90,000 miles on the vehicle and just read a complaint from someone else with a 99 GrandAm doing the same thins at 86,000 miles.
This is obviously a design problem and the dealer wants about $500.00 to repair this. Shouldn't this be a recall if it is common? I feel that the dealer should repair this problem free of charge or at least cover the labor. *note: I have been very pleased with the rest of the vehicle and would buy another with the exception of the Intake Problems.
Thanks
