Wendy's, Roxboro Road in Durham, North Carolina - trouble with drive up order # 17 for February 7, 2002
Complaints.com received the following e-message on February 6, 2002:

Wendy's, Roxboro Road in Durham, North Carolina - trouble with drive up order I went to the Wendy's on Roxboro Road in Durham, North Carolina today. I ordered a burger and a tea. I went to the first window to pay for the items ordered. I then went to the second window to get my food. The female at the window handed me a burger and closed the window.
So, while I patiently waited for my tea, the female came back to the window and I informered her that I had not received my tea that I have ordered. She told me then, that I had not ordered a tea. So, I checked my ticket and sure enough, I had not paid for one, and there was not one on the ticket.
So, I told her that she was right, but I had asked for one, just that I had not been charged for one. I asked her if I could just get one then and I would pay for it there, and she told me that I would have to go back through the drive-thru again, order my tea, pay for it, and then I could get it.
I asked her why couldn't I just pay for it there and she said because it was a long line and they had to get those people through the line, and I told her that was exactly why I didn't want to get back in line, because of the length of it.
I have never been so furious, as I was leaving that Wendy's parking lot. I know this is minor, but it just really made me furious that she couldn't just take my money there and give me my tea there!
