To Whom It May Concern: Sir, I recently purchased a new truck from Trophy Nissan in dallas I bought the truck on 12/22/01 @ about 9:00 pm. Since purchasing the vehicle I have taken it back to the service dept 3 times 1/1/01 for a engine light … I overfilled gas tank… 1/22/02 oil change and vibration and passenger door rattle 1/25/02 vibration and door rattle when I bought the truck I mentioned that the center dash was misaligned……I was able to correct that the next day in my driveway…… I have had the vibration problem since date of purchase I was told by Danny my service adviser that Nissan would have to approve the tires being replaced .. He said they had some flat spots possibly due to not being moved enough thru storage … the production date is aug 01. I purchased the truck on dec 22 01 the truck had 5 miles on it when I test drove it and had 12 when I bought it so the vehicle was moved a total of 5 miles from production date to dec 22 or approx 4 months …. I bought the truck at 9 pm… it was dark outside … when I washed the vehicle the day after Christmas I found that the paint had some bad spots …. On the front of the hood it has some black spots // on the front bumper that I paid extra to have painted there are spots that are not painted at all … the undercarriage is showing slight rust … drive shaft .. other components also,,, the front bumper had 2 holes drilled in it with large sheet metal screws to hold the front license plate

 

…I have mounted the license plate and would like to have the holes repaired …. I do not think I am asking for too much … I am after all buying a new vehicle.I even bought the extended warranty .. The way it is going the truck will rattle apart well before the warranty is over… my concern is what is the Nissan Corperation going to do to make the customer satisfied ? I was very satisfied with Sales Je Harrison and Finance … However I still haven’t received a coupon book Jim in finance stated I would get containing numerous discounts for service ,, ect ….. I am very satisfied with the service adviser Danny…He keeps taking the truck hoping to get some info from corp. on what is or is not authorized and what bulletin to do next. I am satisfied with the mechanical work that has been done in the service dept …still the door panel hasn’t been removed inspected tightened ect. The crazy part is I have had the truck to the service dept. so far 3 times and the Brake Fluid is still low from the factory . I have worked in a few manufacturing jobs over the years … from machine shops doing jobs for NASA to manufacturing cruise controls for the GM line… transducers and servos… and electrical… speedos clusters and dashes for a custom Hot Rod Shop I know the flaws that can happen in mass production but that is what a quality dept is for…..

 

IF I ever thought that the ad stating “we’re not # 1 you are !” was a hoax I wouldn’t have went to Trophy Nissan … I am pleased with Trophy Nissan .. I would like the parent Company to stand behind the product that they rolled off the assembly line…. As I mentioned I worked in a few jobs that had a very tight tolerance , for the product to meet the requirements and pass as a working part by meeting or exceeding the specifications. As a G.M. in production and quality . The QUALITY was always first then Quantity was second. At this point I feel the Nissan Corp. dropped the ball… when they rolled my truck out with out a thorough proper inspection … Im waiting to see if they will pick up the fumble………..
