Jiffy Lube - information given in advertisements Jiffy Lube is currently running a radio ad that is intentionally deceptive in an effort to get drivers to change their oil at Jiffy Lube more often than is required or recommended by auto manufacturers.

The ad explicitly states that "a little stop and go driving" or a "trip to the market" constitutes "extreme driving" thus requiring the most frequent oild changes. This is patently false - no auto manufacturer would agree with this.

The ad closes by advising consumers "to keep your [their] owner's manuals in the glove box" - in other words, Jiffy Lube wants drivers to be ignorant of the manufacturer's recommendations for oil change frequency.

This is a blatant attempt by Jiffy Lube to mislead the public in an effort to increase their business.
