Levitz Furniture - bedroom, dining room, living room, entertainment ctr. purchase / delivery

To Whom It may concern: I had ordered from Levitz Furniture in Whitehall PA:

sofa and love seat

1 coffee table

2 end table

1 entertainment center

1 headboard

2 nightstands

1 dresser

1 armoire

1 mirror

1 dining room table This was all on order# 01192XA0OOH, dated January 19, 2002. First I would like to say that the people that work for Levitz are very rude, and not very helpful. Spending over $3,000 in furniture, I would like some courtesy, I don't think I deserve an attitude that I am bothering someone. The day my furniture was to be delivered (which was 2/02/02), someone called me that morning and said they could not find the house. This would not be a problem, however, the two individuals that delivered the furniture DID NOT speak English. How am I suppose to give directions to someone that don't

understand me? When they delivered the furniture, they did not have all of the furniture. All they delivered was sofa and love seat

1 coffee table

2 end tables

1 nightstand

1 dresser

1 mirror

1 dining room table I asked these men if they had anything else for me, and they both said NO, call the store. When these two Spanish guys left my house, they left these huge boxes sitting out in front of my house. It was a windy day, it was a mess. On Monday, February 4, 2002, I called the store and they never gave me a direct answer as to why I didn't get my furniture, but I should call their warehouse and was given a 1 800 number to call. When I called the woman said my order was partially cancelled. She did not know why, but I had to call the store back so they could reorder the things that were cancelled. I called the store and told my sales rep. Kevin Schmalz to reorder the things that were missing off my order with a delivery date of February 16 because that was when my armoire was to be delivered. He reassured me that he would take care of this for me. On February 16, the delivery truck came to my house, but the only thing on the truck was the armoire. So on Monday, February 18, 2002, I called the store and I got a snotty woman who answered the phone and told me the store manager was out to lunch for the next 2 1/2 hours.

So I called on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 and asked for the store manager but was told he left the store for a couple of hours. DOES ANYONE WORK? I am now really furious, and asked for the manager's boss's name. Within a short period of time a had a return phone call from the store manager. Unfortunately, he knows nothing!! I don't understand, how difficult is it to find out what happened to my order and why wasn't it delivered. I already received my first bill, and of course it was not itemized, so I don't know what I am even being charged for. HELP!!!! I am totally frustrated and don't know who to go to next. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
