This letter references my dissatisfaction with the SCORE Learning Center in Carmel Valley, CA, though it may well apply to other national centers. My complaint is that the SUMMER TUTORING program for elementary school children runs from 2:00 in the afternoon until 6:00 in the Evening for 3 days of the week (M,T,W), and the hours are not posted anywhere! I was looking for a SUMMER TUTORING program, not a program that had after-school hours. I wanted to capitalize on my children's' most productive learning time (i.e., morning), and it never occurred to me that a summer program wouldn't run during the early to mid-day. If you are looking for a SUMMER program, check the hours first! I paid in full over the phone and didn't learn about the hours until the program was underway. I was told

that I would receive a gratuitous refund of $200. The Center kept the tuition paid of $498. THERE ARE NO TUITION REFUNDS at SCORE, so be sure you know what you signed up for!
