urban nutrition

October 15, 2006

I unfortunately ordered the "trial" offer of MiracleBurn dietary supplements from Urban Nutrition of New York over the internet in August. They claim to provide a $10 gift card of a major store such as Walmart with the "trial" 7 day supply. I received the card and the supplements. Upon going to Walmart, they advised that the card was useless. Although I had indicated I did not wish their "auto-ship" program (because I didn't know if the supplements would work) I was automatically enrolled for another shipment. They used the credit card info that I had given for shipping and handling to cover the new order (which I received in Sept.). When I discovered this, I went to their website to cancel. I submitted the cancellation request 3 times over the next few days asking for a confirmation - none arrived. A month later (October) my credit card is again used for another order. I again sent cancellation. A phone call indicated that they had received no cancellation requests fro me and there is no cash refund on returns - only substitutions. The gift card is a fraud, their cancellation portal does not, or did not, operate and the product does not work. They of course accept no responsibilty. I will not likely use internet for future purchases. I feel this company is operating illegally. Everyone should stay away from them.
