Delta Airlines / Stolen Luggage

My family flies about every other weekend. On this occasion and because of the remote destination, I had to fly Delta. I should have known better, but I thought this couldn't happen to me.

Our 11 year old daughter is a Taekwondo World Champion, she competes all over the country. On our trips we carry a PA system that plays the music for her competition. I had just purchased a new Pyle Pro PA System that is worth more than $1,000.00. When checking it in, it was totally enclosed and shipped in a safe well padded box. We were assured by the airline that it would arrive in one piece. I was so happy when it arrived at our destination in Panama City, Florida.

HOWEVER, on the trip home we were not as lucky.

We got to Las Vegas, our home town BUT the box didn't. We immediately went to Delta, where upon they told us that the box was delayed in Atlanta. They assured us that the box would arrive the next morning. The next morning at approximately 11:30 am. I received a telephone call from a baggage transport service. They told me the box would arrive between 2-4 pm. I told the man that I had to go to work and he assured me that he would deliver the box before I left. When the box DIDN'T arrive, I called Delta... of course I got a person that barely spoke English, who kept telling the same old thing, it will be delivered. Now it's 5:30pm,... I called Delta again, they told me to sign a note and leave it on my front door and the box would be left...I TOLD THEM "NO!!!" I askd them if they would leave something valuable laying outside a home without anyone home, they replied they wouldn't! By this time I'm angry as hell, so I decided not to go to work and wait for the box.

Now it's 7:pm...I called Delta AGAIN!, that's when they told me that they had left the box at my front door...I ran to the front door to see if it was there....I told them that didn't happen, when I would insist on speaking to someone that understood me, they would hang up on me... FINALLY, I got a hold of a man that said that one of his employee's had delivered the box... I told him NO he hadn't. He told me that he would send the man to my house and show me where the box was left. The man showed up with an excuse... WELL, I thought that I left the box here on the front steps of your house.... I asked him why he didn't knock on the door or ring the door bell, he told me that he didn't think anyone was home. I asked him why he left the box without a signature AS I INSISTED UPON? He told me that Delta told him to leave the box...

PERSONALLY, I DON'T believe DELTA or the service... I think they're thieves that have taken something very special from a little girl.

My daughter has traveled to 3 other tournaments, with the National Championships coming up in less than a week, and I still can't get a call back from DELTA....

It's been nearly 6 weeks and they act as though it never happened...

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, that DELTA is ruining the life of a child, by their selfishness and thievery!

I'll make sure that everyone I know hears about this... but of course, that should be pretty eay as when we travel and don't show up with a PA system, we're alwys asked why the Numbe rone cocmpetitor in the United States doesn't have her music... I MAKE SURE I TELL THEM THE STORY!!!
