Shop NBC Shop NBC October 15, 2006 Hello,
I'm writing to find out what action I can take against Shop NBC. I purchased two 10 kt diamond cut white & yellow gold bracelets in June. When I received the bracelets they looked good, so I kept them. I put them away to wear on a special occasion. 10/14/06 I was going to a birthday party and decided to wear my bracelets. I took them out, and to my surprise the bracelets had changed colors. The bracelets look like they are copper, or maybe they were gold plated. I went back and looked at my order and it said they were 10 kt gold. So, I called shop NBC and told them about the bracelets. Only to be told it was not their problem. I was dumbfounded. I paid $216 for these bracelets, and they were supposed to be 10 kt gold. I asked if I can return them for a different product and the representative told me "too bad, so sad." Shop NBC was not willing to replace the items even though I had not worn them. I have purchased jewelry from jewelry shops and if I had a problem I was always able to go back no matter how long I had the product the jewelry shop is always willing to stand behind it's product and make the customer happy.
I've never seen gold turn into cooper. I told the woman that the bracelets cannot be real. She told me that it says that they are gold. I told her that is what I thought when I purchased them, but obviously this is not the case, and I wanted to know what Shop NBC was going to do to rectify the situation. And, I was told they would do nothing. I am upset, and I feel like I have been duped into purchasing a product under false pretenses. What can I do?
Sincerely,
