Complaint: If you sign up with this builder to build your home, you can expect the following:

--An 8 or 9 month wait before building starts

--A year and a half before your home is completed

--Excessive amounts of money charged for fill dirt (possible kickback to fill dirt company)

--No communication with the builder himself. He does not return phone calls or respond to certified mail.

--Trusses lying uncovered on your property for weeks with resulting dampness and mildew

--Pressure to upgrade items in the home

--Disorganization and incompetence with some staff members.

I have not personally had a house built by Whittaker, but my sister has. I am also aware of 2 other people who have had nightmare experiences with this builder.
