Toyota Altis / They just ignore your complaint Toyota Altis / They just ignore your complaint October 15, 2006 My family bought our first Toyota car & it turn out to be a nightmare!
After we get our new car, problem started to appear immediately:
1. The alignment: The car will go left all by itself, badly. I wonder where is the quality check before the car roll out of the factory. We sent it for repair, they put "whole roll"(!!!) of patches on the tyre ( & this is a new car). After 2 months, the same problem came back.
2. The door for luggage compartment wont open with the control under the driver seat.
3. The rubber of window for diver seat fall off every time we roll down the window ( & this is a new car !!).
I send them(Mlaysia toyota website) 4 complaint e mail. They only reply the first one & ask me to wait for their reply. They ignored the other 3 e mail totally. I cant find any place I can go to, so, I come here & hopefully some one from Toyota company will see it & do some thing, which I doubt they will. I also hope someone will send me some information where can I go for help on this issue.
Tks.

However i have lots of complaints regarding the service provided by East Africa Toyota Motors, Vadodara. I had paid an advance of Rs. 50,000/- to them on 29th August 2008 before even seeing the car for a BLACK Corolla Altis. They promised me that i will get a black car. After the car was released in early September. When i went to see the car and brochure i pointed them that there is no blace colour. But they insisted that they will be able to get me a black altis. Alongwith the car they promised me that they will supply me with the floor mats, muffler cutter on the exhaust, teflon coating for the car and rear parking sensors. They kept on promising the black car for next 2 to 3 weeks and after a particularly angry exchange with them and demanded the advance money back and cancel the order they told me the black colour is not available and would i settle for some other colour. I settled for silver colour car which they delivered in the 3rd week of October, assuring that the mats, teflon coating, muffler cutter etc, were done. 3 to 4 weeks later when i happened to compare my car with someone else's car i realised that they had not given me the floor mats nor the muffler cutter and a car repairer told me that the teflon coating has not been done. On complaning to them i was told that i may have mislead the mats and they had supplied it and that the muffler cutter may have fallen off and that it wasn't their fault. On further angry exchanges with the Managing Director Dilip Thakker i was told that these will be done. However they took 10 days, 20 broken promises and 20 phone calls on my part before they managed to do it piece meal. This particular experience makes me doubt whether they provide any service at all and whether they will be able to provide routin maintainance of this fine car. There is still no teflon coating. I would suggest to Toyota motors that just making a fine car and providing such shoddy and at times non - existant service will ruin Toyota's reputation. I am apprehensive that if i send my car to this people for servicing they may remove or spoil some part or not perform the service or just do it on paper and try and stick me with a big fat bill. Unless i hear something from Toyota i am in a mood to sell of this vehicle at a considerable loss and go back to my original honda.
