USPS USPS October 14, 2006 On a recent trip to Tanzania, we had express mailed a package addressed to us here in the U.S. on September 20th. According to our records, the package arrived as promised within 3 days and was at Customs at JFK where it was cleared by the 26th. We waited and waited and still did not see the package. Finally upon inquiring with the local Post Office, it seems that the package has been lost. How can that be possible. We paid $125.00 to get it shipped here and that too from a 3rd world country - they did their job fine - but we here in the U.S. have messed things up. No one seems to know - leaving messages is not helping as nobody returns any calls. I really don't know what to do. The box contained sentimental items from my mother and it was only because of the recent weight restrictions that we did what we did.
