I was looking for a Hotel in Tampa, FL for the 25 & 26 of March. I picked up the Traveler Discount Guide for March-April '06 and started searching. I came across the Days Inn noted above and the advertisement offers $39.99 Sun- Thurs + tax, add $10 Fri. & Sat. add $5 extra person. Then it states Expires 4/30/06 For reservations call: 800-329-7666 Ask for Rate Code LEG. When I called to make the Reservation the operator said I must call the Hotel which I did. I spoke to a Mr. Mansour who explained to me this add is for walk-in only. I asked to talk to a manager or supervisor and was told he was the only one on shift, so I left my name and number for the manager to call me. This was March 3,06 still have not received a call from no one. Called on March 6,06 and spoke to a young lady that said she was the asst. manager. She said the same thing about being walk-in only. I asked her to have her manager to give me a call again, but again no response. I called this morning and was told the manager by the name of Dave Shukla will not be in till 11am to 12pm. called at 12 and was told he will not be in until 1pm or 2pm. No where in the advertisement does it state this ad is for walk-in bases. The Only fine print is as follows. "Must present coupon upon check-in. Discount rate is limited to 10% of hotel inventory. Not valid with other discounts or during holidays and special events." I have contacted Days Inn Corporate they have provided me with the owning Association and the contacts name of Sander Mednick @ 1-561-995-2249, but no one answers that number either

When I called the Corporate office they told me there was nothing they could do about it. That the Tampa hotel was a Franchsises. Then I asked why do they carry Days Inn name if there is nothing Corporate can do about it.
