ASUS / service

ASUS / service ASUS / service March 7, 2006 I work for a business and we were sent two asus laptops to get setup. The laptops were supplied with very little information about the hardware specifications so I tried to call asus on the phone numbers that came on the card. The phone numbers were dead and did not go anywhere. I then looked up the ASUS website and found a service number for Australia. Upon calling this number I was told they had no information about the laptops, and was given another number to call for ASUS tech support. After calling this number I was put on hold for 20 minutes, and at the end still had not had my call answered to, apart from the ironic message at 30 second intervals saying "Your call is important to us", obviously not important enough, as I was hung up on before anybody answered my call. Another attempt to call the service center which gave me that number and I was spoken rudely to by a person I later found out to be the manager, I was given another number, which I also had no luck with, just given a message saying that nobody was available to speak to. This is at 2:30pm in the afternoon, definitely not after hours. I would strongly urge anybody considering purchasing an ASUS laptop to look further, as a company not willing to back their product is not worth dealing with. I am posting this so that anybody who wants service after they have bought their laptop will be aware that none exists after purchasing an ASUS computer.
