TRS Recovery Services

March 6, 2006

January 03 2006 I received a call from TRS Recovery Services. They were looking for a Deana Hughes. I explained that I live alone and I did not know a Deana Hughes. November 20 2006 I once again received a call requesting to speak to Deana Hughes. I again explained that I live alone and I did not know a Deana Hughes. I went online to find an address so that I might send a letter to someone to who would put a stop to these harassing phone calls. TRS Recovery Services has done a very good job of hiding. I could find no contact phone number or address. I contacted the State Department of Justice and they were able to contact TRS. They sent a letter that stated I had been removed form their list. In my opinion that letter was filled with inaccuracy. For a start they referred to me as Ms. I am Mr., they claim the reason for the second call was, they outsourced the account and were given my number. In my opinion they did not outsourced the account there is no connection between myself and anyone named Deana Hughes. In my opinion TRS is only calling because of my last name and they may be calling every Hughes in the area. Harassing people who do not pay their debts is on thing harassing people who have absolutely nothing to do with the debtor should be against the law. I am writing this letter in hope that others who have faced the continued harassment from debt collection agencies will contact their State Attorney General and press for legislation to protect those of us who pay all our bills on time but are still continue to receive harassing phone calls from debt collectors not because we owe any money but solely on the basis of our name.

I have a different complaint against the same company. I made an error when making a purchase on Amazon.com. When I was notified by Amazon I quickly fixed it and paid for my orders. TRS had already been notified and I received a letter from them telling me that I owe for this purchase so I called them to sort it out. When I called they had no record of me and told me to call Amazon, who said I was fine. Now, a couple of months later, I am getting 7-8 calls a day from TRS trying to collect this debt, even though I have explained that I have paid and every time the TRS representative acts clueless like this never happens. That seems hard to believe

Same situaion. I am Olsen, they were looking for Andersen. a dozen threatening calls, 3 hang-ups, and one who said they'd take my number off their list just now, followed by a quick hang-up. I never shop at wal-mart, I don't use checks, and I have no outstanding debt.

Calling them, they ask me for my driver's license number before I even know who I'm talking to.

It's understandable for a company to get its facts crossed, but rudness, followed by threatening and incompetence is where I draw the line. These people should be put out of business.

I keep getting harassing phone calls all day long from trs they are looking for a k.buras and I am d.buras. i just got finished yelling at them and it's 9:00p.m. It's a little late for them to be calling people. I have told them over and over that this is not k.buras and the trs worker shawn carter had nerve to ask me why are you yelling at me. Well let's see because you call my house every half hour. I wish I could sue them for harassment!
