Hello

I bought a floor lamp from fullspectrumsolutions about 3 years ago. One of their leading advertisement claims that it is cheap to buy their lamps as it costs about $30-$40 less compared to an incadescent lamp based on power consumption for same amount of light. However, fullspectrum doesn't tell you that the lamp may last long time but not necessarily their lamp ballast. Furthermore they can't repair my lamp because it is one piece and its beyond its warranty period. After much talk they are sending me the ballast circuit and I am paying $79 for it.

I was also told by the company that few of their customers have had a similar problem. Sounds like this requires a recall but they did not. I looked at the ballast circuit from my bad lamp and a resistor is burnt out. So buyer be beware; buy this lamp only if they offer life-time warranty on the lamp, not necessarily the bulb though as it would probably last you long time. I would just recommend going to another company altogether.

Hence Fullspectrumsolution lamps will likely cost you more than a chaper incadescent floor lamp. I am not doing business with this company again next time I need to get a new lamp.
