Dear Sirs, In October last year I bought one of the new Sony Desktop units. Everything seemed fine, except when I tried to record live TV, the system would crash. Eventually, after many attempts at fixing it over the phone, Sony Repair Centre persuaded me to send it to the repair department. DHL Arrived, and took away my computer..... after misplacing it for a week, and then leaving it with a technician, they discovered that the mother board, CPU, Memory, Hard Drive, and a few other components needed replacing. Now I know next to nothing about computers, but it would seem that this is pretty much the entire machine! The next problem was that they didn't have the items in stock for the repair, and were unsure how long it would take to get them. After about 5 weeks of this, I found out that the computer was on its way back to me. Upon receipt, I stupidly reinstalled all of the software needed for emails etc.. I hadn't had computer access for well over a month at this point and so I was a bit excited. Once I had set up the network & email software, I thought I had better try to record some TV, only to find out that I was unable to access the pre-installed software. A few calls to Sony led them to the conclusion that the engineers hadn't "Flashed the BIOS" whatever that means, and I would have to send it back to them to do so. I sent it back, only to find out that it was delivered to the wrong place, and then we discover that in fact they need to repair the TV monitor...?? Should this not have been spotted the first time? Oh, and a couple of other bits that need to be replaced, but guess what..... the parts are not available, and they have no idea how long they will take to get. I paid out over
