DVD Player - The Sony Centre in Staines

I bought a flat screen T.V and a DVD Player in December from The Sony Centre in Staines. I never used the DVD as each time i tried it would'nt work so Iasked my son to lookat it for me and he couls'nt get it to work so i took it back to The Sont Centre on 14th February and they said they would send it away, then they phoned me to say it was back and had to have a new "Driver" fitted I was horrified as this was supposed to be a new DVD and I said you have sold me a faulty DVD and I would like my money back and they refused.

I would like to know where I stans and am I entitled to my money back.
